Currently

It's Sunday, and thanks to two of my best friends I am totally on a craft roll today. Perfect Sunday. Movie watching and creating bits and pieces. The sun is shining too, and that always makes me happy. So glad the weather is getting better.
Other plans today include going to my grandparents house for dinner. Whine will be nice.
Currently in love with watching the Star Trek cast in interviews, making washi tape string banners, Doctor Who being on Saturday nights, fresh flowers being in my room, and the thought of going to CMMK in a few weeks. I need a convention! I miss my buddies too much.

That time

So I had the best birthday. I spent all of it with my awesome friends and wonderful family. Took a couple of trips to London, went to the cutest little town, saw the David Bowie exhibition at the V&A, and just had fun. It was such a sunny birthday. I spent the day in London with my friends. Took us a while to all find each other...Kings Cross/St Pancras is the worst station to find each other. Anyway, after a while we all found each other and went to Drink Shop Do. Lemonade and cake on your birthday is always fun.
I don't normally like my birthday, I always love other people's. However I did have a great year this year. I am now 26...wow...that's so weird. Can't really believe it. CRAZYYYYY.
Also went to Pick me up London. Which was a super art festival. So many talented artists were on show. Also got recognised from Instagram...which was weird and awesome all at the same time.
Other than that, I have just been working lots and saving all the money I can for Austin. Which is getting nearer and nearer.
Also the other thing that is taking up space in my head is the fact Star Trek Into Darkness comes out on Thursday. On Benedict, you are perfect. And Quinto. Sigh. Can't wait.

Goodbye 25

So it's nearly the 21st of April. EEP. So my year of being 25 is coming to a close. I had a super time. So much awesome-ness happened to me. So many new friends and new adventures. Here's to being 26. Let's see what's gonna happen.
I have got 3 whole days off work, and that's pretty awesome. So yesterday I went with my parents to the David Bowie exhibition at the V&A. It was wonderful. I got rather emotional. Awesome day. Also today I went out with my friends Ella and Charlotte. We went to the coolest cafe/art space for lunch called the Dollshouse. So many rooms. Plus the sun was shining, which is super since it's been rather rubbish recently weather wise.
Off to London tomorrow with friends for my birthday. Can't wait. Adventure awaits.

Always waiting for sunshine

So the weather has been so rubbish recently. I just want spring. It's still so winter like here at the moment. And so cold. Don't get me wrong, I love wearing jumpers and drinking hot chocolate, but I long for the days of just wearing a hoodie instead of a coat, wearing my sunglasses, and beautiful blue skies.
Thinking about the fact I am going to be 26 in less than a couple of weeks is rather scary. EEP. Totally feel like I am getting rather old, and I know that's silly.
Been seeing and spending time with close friends recently, which has been rather perfect. Also went to see Macbeth with James McAvoy. Ohhh man, it was brilliant! James was so awesome! I mean he's a brilliant actor, but seeing him live makes me love him even more. My friend Claire ended up getting rather strange tickets for the show...we ended up being on the stage. It's so hard to explain, but there were 5 rows of seats in the stage. Such a weird and brilliant experience.
Currently obsessed with clouds, second hand book shops, planning trips, London, old photos, the new Star Trek movie, Doctor Who being back on, Jenna-Louise Coleman, the Voxer app, David Bowie's new album, and making art.

when it rains

I really wanted to get on top of blogging again...yeah, that really didn't happen. I kept thinking, I must blog, must blog...just something. And then didn't. Ugh.

ANYWAY, life recently have been busy. Never seem to have much time to stop and think. To be honest I kinda like that. My head is too cloudy to stop and think. Go, go, go...that's how it needs to be at the moment.

Been on lots of trains recently. I am addicted to trains. They take me places. I know that's their purpose, but they take me to wonderful places, full of the best people. Went to stay with my friend Mandy for her birthday weekend. That was crazy mad fun. Lots of dancing, meeting new people, tape buying, photo taking, where's Wally, crane making, and other crazy stuff. Highlight was waking up Sunday morning with a grasshopper jumping around, and my friend trying to play monopoly in her sleep. Perfect.

Also, brought my ticket to Austin. My bank card nearly exploded...and I now have no money...none...nothing...zero...BUT IT'S SO WORTH IT. ARRGHHH. I honesty can't put into words how excited I am to see everyone again. I miss everyone all the time, every day, always. It's so awesome of the connection with these wonderful people I have. I am so grateful for this, and I always will be.

So, I have been up to a few arty things. In my spare time (if I am not on a train) I have been spending the really little time I have sat at my desk creating things. I am feeling so creative recently. That's due to an awesome friend. But having that creative drive back again is a joy. And this makes me smile.
