update on the book; i have read many more chapters and now am well into the book. norah and nick kissed. she thought he was a really good kisser, and now is really starting to like him. however all nick can think of is his ex girlfriend he saw earlier that night. they get to talking and he ends up saying he will give norah and her very drunk friend a ride home. however his car "jessie" won't start. his band mates try to get his car started..while this is happening one of his band mates comes over to talk to norah and says something along the lines of; we like you, and we want you to take him out tonight, we hated his ex, please cheer him up. he gives norah $50. she then gets back in the car. nick's mates said they would take her friend home for her. then his guy comes up to norah's side of the car, and starts talking to her. its her ex, he asked her if they can pick up where they left off, she says no, he then says some really nasty things about her being heartless and says goodluck to nick and walks off.
also today i was surfing the web looking at random crap and found out that The Tracey Fragments is coming out on dvd very soon, it never came to cinemas in the uk, and i really wanna see it. if anyone has seen it, let me know what you thought. i will have to buy!! "Tracey Berkowitz, 15, a self-described normal girl, loses her 9-year old brother, Sonny. In flashbacks and fragments, we meet her overbearing parents and the sweet, clueless Sonny. We watch Tracey navigate high school, friendless, picked on and teased. She develops a thing for Billy Zero, a new student, imagining he's her boyfriend. We see the day she loses Sonny and we watch her try to find him. In bits and pieces, we see what leads up to her riding in the back of a city bus wrapped in a shower curtain."- IMDB it looks really powerful, and very well shot with the screen cutting up into different fragments.i also came across this wonderful picture of ellen from the movie an american crime...again its not going to be shown/or has been shown in the uk, i am in love with his picture...even though it also has a sadness to it, it really makes me want to go see it. the plot however does sound very sad and disturbing....."Based on a true story that shocked the nation in 1965, the film recounts one of the most shocking crimes ever committed against a single victim"- IMDB
hope everyone day a wondeful day :)
they then start driving and nick and see norah is not very happy and says where should we go?? they end up going to this club with a pink door. norah knows the bouncer, as her dad works for a top record label, he lets them in. they both don't drink. norah thinks to herself, its so nice to go out with a guy that doesnt drink just to get wasted, he can have a good time without being drunk. they get to talking a bit more, and nick thinks that he is really starting to like norah...he likes the fact she knows a playboygirl bunny of a bouncer, he likes the fact she knows how to drive a stick, he likes how she kissed him, he likes the way she seems to get past the past, he likes how he can throw any kind of sentance at her without worrying it's too out there. they end up dancing, and he gives her his jacket to wear, they hold each other close, and then once the song is finished she says "nice" and pushes him away, and says i am going to the toilet.
and thats as far as i have got..i cant wait to read on.

Oh dear, your rings are trying to escape! Hopefully they won't end up with all the laundry socks...
I love this ensemble of photos you have put together. Why are we so alike? I ADORE Slow Club. I want their album to come out now, so I may enhance my collection of goodies.
ooh the book sounds so sweet so far!
and those rings are so so cute- where did you buy them?
I love your Beatles-plectrum-gum photo, and the little dog checked paper one!
