ah crazy crazy times! not long left in Nottingham, and i am going home, back to my little home town. my show is finally over, and we had to take down all the work. :( if you have not, and wanted to see my degree show website, with all of my fellow student's work, check out http://www.fineart09.com/

while i have been doing random things all week, i have watched milk. i cried in the cinema when i first watched it. i love it so much. i have also been watching yes man and forgetting Sarah Marshall.my lovely friend Grainne came to stay with me, and we went out for tea with our lovely friend Kay. it was beautiful, we had the coolest cakes. at the moment i am packing up my room...and its very sad. i am scared about taking down my photos, pictures and memories :( i really don't want to leave my cute little flat.
today i got a lovely surprise!! i got post from the beautiful Lina! my lovely friend. lots of cute bits and bobs! :) she has got me into artist trading cards

aaaah it has been snowing!! eeek eek! its amazing!
aaaah! hope all is good. i have not posted, as it have been crazy. i have my year mid-point review exhibition, and everyones work was amazing! it was so nice to see it altogether for once. my rabbit made me proud. i am not sure what marks i will get, but it made me happy that a few people came and spoke to me about how much they loved the little guy.my god-parents went to new york for new years eve, and they brought me back some Lucky charms cereal, i love it so much!!! and wish they sold it in the UK!! i love America, and wish to be there. but i am happy to be eating this fab gift.

yay i saw Nick and Norah the other night!! ah now they did mess around with the book. well i know its only based on it...however it was still a good fun filled movie. with laughs and great music.at the moment i am reading Yes Man, by Danny Wallace, he is AMAZING. i love him so much at the moment. he is so funny, and has an amazing way with words and how he writes. i love the book, because it is about him and its set in London. its a must read. i wanted to read it before i saw the film, but i didn't get round to it. i am in love with danny at the moment. :)

also at the moment i am wishing for a pen pal. my friend has the most amazing pen friends ever! i am very jealous. it must be fab to write to someone like that, and always looking forward to their reply! :)

my brain will work

ah sorry about the lack of posting!! i have been back at uni nearly a couple of weeks now. and i have had so much work to do!! hope everyone is good! and as soon as i got back, i went and saw twilight (again) with friends. and they loved it too!

my two big crushes still are rob and michael. i am looking forward to see nick and norah's infinite playlist at the end of the month! i cannot wait, i have waited so long. the book is amazing, and i am still a little confused at the trailer with norah asking nick to be her boyfriend, when it should be the other way around...but hey ho, i will let it play out and see what happens.we have got mid-point review coming up in the next few days. we are having an exhibition as well. its all good practice for our final degree show..eek. and we are having a party afterwards. so i have been really busy trying to do work and sort things out.

i have not really been doing much other than that. oh have been reading my moomin book i got for my birthday last year.

i just wanted to post a picture of my wall.. as the very wonderful The crow and the crab posted a picture of her wall and i thought it seemed like a good idea...so here is mine! :)

another day goes by..listening to people talk about art...and me making art. i thought i would show you a little pic of my studio space...(i need to take photos of my work for a talk i am doing next week, and thought i would take one of my space)

just a few more pictures of my little landscapes...today i started to create one of my creatures...i will keep you posted on how its going.
yesterday i went looking through a few vinyl bins and found an old Stevie nicks album, i love the image so much. my dad tried to get it for me a while ago...its fab. and it was only £1.80.

....oh yeah i also forgot to say about these napkins at the exhibiton. one of the artists that belongs to backlit saw damien hirst in new york walking down the street, she asked for his autograph. he wrote on a napkin; his autograph plus a little drawing of a shark. so a few artists at backlit deciced to spend all day trying to recreate this on napkins just for fun, and adding their own style to each drawing. they created loads of hand drawn ones to give away with drinks on the opening night....and here is the one i got with my drink! just a bit of fun! :)

i am just watching the holiday...oh it makes me wish it was christmas time...and that i was at home...i cannot wait!

I have not posted in such a long time...i have had a very long week! on Monday i was lucky enough to be able to go to Backlit, who are a group of artists who have formed after leaving uni. i was able to do some work at their AMAZING studios, and then they had an exhibition on Thursday night. and a piece of my work was included in the show.

fun was had. drink was drunk. and art was looked at. so a very good night in all.oh one more quick note, if you get bored you should check out have you seen my shoes? its just a bit of fun blog! :)

..dance dance

ah last night was so much fun. we made over £200 on the little bar at the degree show closing night! which is good news for our degree fund! the party was at stealth afterwards, and there was 5 live bands, and 5 djs. they had booked the place out, just for the party. the music was so fun, the smiths, and other re-mixes...lots to dance too!!

ah its packing time!! trying to think of what i should take with me back home. books, clothes, dvds, arty stuff...sometimes i really hate packing!! while i am packing tho, i am listening and watching Flight of the Conchords. i am singing away..its one of my favourite tv shows at the moment. They are formerly known as New Zealand’s fourth-most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo. Flight of the Conchords follows the meta-trials and tribulations of the guys as they try to survive New York City. It is the kinda show that makes you laugh out loud everytime you watch it! Brilliant, worth a watch if you have not already seen it! Plus i kinda have a crush on Bret McKenzieis.

Today had a lecture about going into my final year at uni...eep very scared..but looking forward to it. Can't wait to get back to working and try lots of new ideas.

We have the studio party tomorrow, so we can make up some money for our degree show, and i have my normal cakes to bring in. Got to help out on the bar too. Ah its gonna be scary because 4-5 we have the new first years having a look round and we have to serve them 'juice' hehe. and then the real party starts at 5-7, with booze!! it will be sad to see the 3rd years leave...

....i also ended up making a JUNO cake...yum.

yay, its thursday and i am bored still. i need to start writing my review of the 3rd Fine Art Show...and will get straight down to that. I started sorting out my room the other day..and moving bits and pieces around. My indy lego got put on my shelf with my dvds, and they are now on show.

ah still the weather is annoying me!! waking up to rain and then sun and then rain again. another day of pottering around town... i went to a show at a gallery today. The show was called 'Cover Versions'. it is an exhibition of recycled record sleeves- revamped and reinvented by Artists working in a variety of mediums. it sounded like a really cool show, but when i went and had a look i kinda felt bad. these really odd record sleeves had been painted, cut up, stuck bits to them...i know its all in the name of art...but it still felt wrong. some of them had been painted beautiful. there were some controversial ones, which included some Beatles and John Lennon covers with 'blood' (or red paint) and Yoko on. It still did not feel right that the artists had done this. It kinda felt like someone had defaced a book or something. But i then thought the records must have belonged to the artists. It was really interesting to see how the artists wanted to change the sleeves with their own views and feelings.

when i got in i started looking at my cds...i wondered if these will get defaced in a few years for the sake of art.

ah and the day is early over!! what a long long day it has been!! today we had presentations all day. my whole year had to get up in the groups and talk about their work. I got very stressed beforehand, and kept worrying!! but it all went fine. I had to speak first for our group. We got good feedback, and now my work is over for this year!! However, I do need to write a review about the 3rd show.
When I got in a was so tried, I tried going to sleep but it did not work. Before I came home I bought myself some Spiderman pasta shapes for my dinner. I also fancied a chocolate milkshake, weird combo! Anyway I felt a bit like a kid!! Later on in the evening me and couple of my friends had a quick walk down to the supermarket. The evening was really nice, but it is getting colder!! We got some ice cream and lemonade and made ice cream floats!! They were so yummy!! I have had so many different bits and pieces today, and I am looking forward to a good nights sleep!!

Tell me something..I will try! Today has been a cool day. Just hanging out and doing group project work. I really cannot wait until it is all over. The weekend has been very chilled out, which has been nice.

Over the weekend, i took a trip to Forbidden Planet and got some cute little keyrings.


I am now looking forward to this week. Hopefully it will all go well, and will have some fun. I watched the 3rd Indiana Jones tonight, and very much looking forward to the next one!! Also I must take a trip to the cinema to see Smart People in the next couple of days.
