'Finding love was never so... Awkward' VS 'Life is a trip, but the afterlife is one hell of a ride'

ah what a random day it has been. not really been up to much, which has been nice. just catching up with different people. messed around in the garden a bit today. this little creature is my find of the day. she was found in the garage in a box that we were sorting out...and she is very clean!!
i also got an award from the ever so fun and cool Art Music Fashion and Random-ness and the beautiful Una Bella Vita A Beautiful Life, but had not got round to putting it on my blog.
according to the rules of the award i'm supposed to give the award to blogs i love, who are then supposed to give it to some of their favorites. these are the ones that i have chosen..although they may have got it before.. :)
Paris Tarts, samantha-maryann, blog full of jelly and Ali Rae

tonight i have a toss up between two movies to watch...one i have seen and the other i have not seen. the one that i have seen, and love, is Eagle vs Shark...you couldn't get a better movie. 'Finding love was never so... Awkward' Lily is an awkward fast food waitress, excluded because she simply doesn't fit. wrong dress, wrong walk, wrong talk, wrong everything. yet beneath all the wrong is a little bit of wonderful.. the object of lily's affections, Jarrod. Jarrod is a video game champion, determined to win respect but pushing all the wrong buttons. but when Jarrod returns to his home town on a mission of revenge, lovestruck lily follows him.

the movie is a delight! its really awkward, but wonderful. it makes you hope that there is someone for everyone.
if not watching Eagle vs Shark, i might watch Wristcutters: A Love Story. i have had this movie on my shelf for ages, but never found the right moment to watch it. Upset over his breakup with Desiree, Zia slashes his wrists and goes to an afterlife peopled by suicides, a high-desert landscape dotted by old tires, burned-out cars, and abandoned sofas. He gets a job in a pizza joint. By chance, Zia learns that Desiree killed herself a few months after he did, and she's looking for him. He sets off with Eugene (an electrocuted Russian rocker) to find her, and they pick up a hitchhiker, Mikal, who's looking for the People in Charge, believing she's there by mistake. it sounds really moving, and i have heard really good things about it.

Oh I saw that movie, it was brilliant. And is that owl one of those calico creatures? I used to have SO many of those when I was small. Oh the days gone by...
