watch out, there is an ewok about

(my find of the day was this really sweet ewok, which someone left at work..so very cute. he was found on Wednesday) today we were sorting through lots of bits and bobs in the house, sorting things out to take to a boot sale on Sunday. we are hoping to make a little more money to take with us when we go on holiday on Monday. every little helps of course! while looking through my stuff i found this really scary/odd rabbit that my friend gave me a few years ago, because "she thought i would like it"..ha ha.other than sorting things out i have not done alot today, which has been kinda nice...but later got a little bored and found some images of finger people, and ended up drawing on my fingers in the afternoon. in the photo below, i think i was watching heroes..well that's what was on the telly screen.as its now coming into these fall/winter nights, i am looking to Saturday night telly to keep me happy. as robin hood is not back till early next year, and doctor who is not back until Christmas, i have a new show to watch; Merlin. i am looking forward to watching this show as it seems like it will be a bit of fun and magical at the same time.

lemons

plus, other than my mirror when i was hunting in the garage to find my typewriter (as parents had put it in there!!) plus from the text you can see i spelt typewriter wrong..its so hard to get used to the fact you cannot go back and change anything if you go wrong!! but i will get used to it. :) i found my mirror i brought at the start of the summer, its so lovely. i cannot wait to use it. i went to see Pineapple Express the other night. now i love all the other movies Seth rogen has been in on, and worked with, and was hoping that this movie would be just as good. when the movie started one of the first faces i see is Bill hader, now he is a funny guy and as soon as i saw his face i laughed out loud...the audience in the cinema must have thought i was crazy. the film has some funny moments mixed in with action. Seth rogen is cute and funny as always. however i have always like James Franco, and think he is a good actor, but in pineapple express i was blown away. he is so funny as this down-on-his luck drug dealer, who enjoys life. i was listening to the radio the other day and the presenter was talking to Seth rogen about how she liked James as the "dirty James" rather than his normal clean self. and i have to admit, he did look rather good and cute. :)oh my goodness, forgetting Sarah Marshall came out today, and i am on my second viewing of today. oh i love it even more than i thought i did. the film has some hilarious, laugh out loud, one liners. the film has an amazing cast, who i love all very much. however i am more in love with Jason segal at the moment, as i have been watching re-runs of how i met your mother. i had a really nice day off work, and looking forward to a new day tomorrow. :)

this is my house, my house

yesterday was weird. i chickened out of going to she the strangers with friends...i really couldn't go see that. two of my friends later told me i did the right thing of not going. they told me the whole story from start to finish...and i was glad i didn't go. :) however i am looking forward to seeing saw 5 that comes out very very very soon. still on cinema stuff..i am very unhappy at this moment in time. for many months i have been banging on about looking forward to seeing the wackness..and it gets to the day of release, i check the cinema times in my very small town..and its not on at my cinema!!!!!! now if i was at uni at this moment, i could go see it, as a big city would be showing it. ah i am very upset...i so wanted to go see it. i am hoping that it will still be on when i go back to uni. i can hope i guess. i go to the cinema quite alot as i have a cinema card which lets me so see as many movies i want for £11.99 a month, which i think is very good as a typical ticket could cost up to £7.50....which is far to much really. so £11.99 is great for me, as i love films. a few of my friends from home have cards, so we normally all meet up and go together. my card wallet is bursting with ticket stubs from the movies i have seen since over this summer. today i have been sorting things out for a car boot sale, so we can raise a little bit of money. even though i will be selling things, i am also really looking forward to having a look what other people have to sell, and what i might be able to buy for my next art project. while sorting bits out, don't you just love it when you come across weird little things, things that don't really have much value, but only memories?? well i found a ticket stub from a all American rejects gig from such a long time ago, an old mirror from a cute shop in Brighton, and ribbon also from Brighton, from the coolest ribbon and material shop in the world. another thing i found that took me back was an old ghostbusters night light...oh it makes me feel small again. :)

'Finding love was never so... Awkward' VS 'Life is a trip, but the afterlife is one hell of a ride'

ah what a random day it has been. not really been up to much, which has been nice. just catching up with different people. messed around in the garden a bit today. this little creature is my find of the day. she was found in the garage in a box that we were sorting out...and she is very clean!!
i also got an award from the ever so fun and cool Art Music Fashion and Random-ness and the beautiful Una Bella Vita A Beautiful Life, but had not got round to putting it on my blog.
according to the rules of the award i'm supposed to give the award to blogs i love, who are then supposed to give it to some of their favorites. these are the ones that i have chosen..although they may have got it before.. :)
Paris Tarts, samantha-maryann, blog full of jelly and Ali Rae

tonight i have a toss up between two movies to watch...one i have seen and the other i have not seen. the one that i have seen, and love, is Eagle vs Shark...you couldn't get a better movie. 'Finding love was never so... Awkward' Lily is an awkward fast food waitress, excluded because she simply doesn't fit. wrong dress, wrong walk, wrong talk, wrong everything. yet beneath all the wrong is a little bit of wonderful.. the object of lily's affections, Jarrod. Jarrod is a video game champion, determined to win respect but pushing all the wrong buttons. but when Jarrod returns to his home town on a mission of revenge, lovestruck lily follows him.

the movie is a delight! its really awkward, but wonderful. it makes you hope that there is someone for everyone.
if not watching Eagle vs Shark, i might watch Wristcutters: A Love Story. i have had this movie on my shelf for ages, but never found the right moment to watch it. Upset over his breakup with Desiree, Zia slashes his wrists and goes to an afterlife peopled by suicides, a high-desert landscape dotted by old tires, burned-out cars, and abandoned sofas. He gets a job in a pizza joint. By chance, Zia learns that Desiree killed herself a few months after he did, and she's looking for him. He sets off with Eugene (an electrocuted Russian rocker) to find her, and they pick up a hitchhiker, Mikal, who's looking for the People in Charge, believing she's there by mistake. it sounds really moving, and i have heard really good things about it.

finds of the day

Had a really nice fathers day...although my dad's present (doctor who graphic novels) did not come in time. the lady in the comic shop said that they had not come in yet...my dad did not mind. We went to Maidstone and had a look around some of the shops. Then later my nan and grandad came round for a bit which was nice.

Afterwards i started looking in my room, as i had just got back i seemed to find lots of odd things. These are my finds of the day....a really cool hair band with a plastic ram/sheep on
a woody sheriff badge..which went straight on my cardigan
a piece of art my friend gave me last yeara jumper off my EDD the duck doll...hmm not sure where EDD is..
a board piece from a really old Disney Board game my Nan gave me when i was small
the marshmallow man figure from Ghostbusters
