Photobooth adventures

I love photobooths photos, of course I do. There is something about that rush of seeing a photobooth hidden away, and quickly jumping in. Trying to make your hair look good, sort out your face, and hope you can take some super cute photos.
Of course the first photo always takes you by surprise. Shocked faces or looking down faces is always the case. The second one is sometimes a cute smile, a mega goofy one. Then it's on to a kiss or again another goofy one. Let's be honest most the of the photos I take are goofy. Then of course I love to throw a peace sign in there.
Photobooth photos have started to become very important to me. Every time I see one, I grab David and take a set. Then one day I will frame them all together and hang a giant frame full of them. My wonderful friends Shelby and Sam had done something very similar, and I wanted to do the same.
I love to take photobooth snaps with buddies too! Seeing how many people you can cram in is great. And you always get some fun shots.
My favourite place to grab a set of photos would be in Brighton in Snoopers Paradise. In the end, these photos are just perfect, and help me remember adventures.

Looking after Pebble and Dash

On Saturday I looked after my friend's gorgeous shop in Herne Bay. It's a beautiful shop. I used to love visiting, and now I'm lucky enough to have my work for sale inside.
Sarah owns Pebble and Dash, and I was more that happy to look after her wonderful shop. Lots of perfect gifts and art can be found inside.
Talking to customers and having a little quiet time to plan blog posts, make lists, create new work, was great. David also popped in during the day and brought me lunch and a yummy hazelnut latte, which was a super surprise.
I had a wonderful time. Lots of time to think and create. Next time I would love to set up a desk and start creating new pieces. When the sun shines through the windows, the shop lights up, it's just so beautiful. Perfect workspace.

Movie date by the sea

We took a little trip to Ramsgate in Thursday. I took my brand new Batman tote out for a trip. I am in love with the print. I am starting up my ever growing tote collection again. And I guess that's not a bad thing.
We wandered down to the seafront to view the gorgeous boats and the beautiful blue sea. We went to our favourite cinema on the seafront to watch a little film called Avengers: Age of Ultron. The film was amazing, well done Joss.
The cinema is so old fashioned, in a wonderful way. It's even down to the great ticket stubs they give you. Which always adds character.
After the film, which again of course was awesome (yay for Scarlet Witch) we wandered along the seafront and into the town. The building are always so beautiful, and have so much history.
Also, I managed to pick up Star Wars cereal! Which I am far too excited about. We never have any fun cereals in the UK anymore. I can't wait to visit the US this summer and fill my suitcase up with yummy cereals.

Turning 28

So I turned 28 on Tuesday. 28...gosh that sounds so strange. I woke up with the sun shining through the window. A few little presents were opened, and then we wandered down the road to have breakfast. We decided to go to the Green Door Deli. David mentioned it was my birthday, and the guys said I could have a free birthday desert. David treated me to birthday pancakes and the guys gave me extra bacon.
We then went into Canterbury to meet my awesome friend Sarah. We looked around the cute shops and then decided to go for lunch. We went to my favourite cafe in Canterbury, Cafe turquoise. We had iced coffees and sandwiches.
I got such wonderful gifts such as a new Kanken, holiday money for my trip, and fun boardgames.
I also received the greatest balloon, which was a huge Hello Kitty! I am so in love with it. My mum made me a pastel rainbow cake, and it was the most tasty cake ever! Go mumma Jennings! I had a brilliant day with family and friends. Being 28 isn't too bad so far.

Day trip to Rochester

On Monday I took a trip to Rochester. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shinning, and I just felt so positive. We wandered in and out of a few shops, but then I spotted an amazing tearoom. This tearoom was called Fleur de Thé.
I could see such gorgeous coloured teacups and teapots from the window. When I walked in I felt like I had fallen through the rabbit hole to a wonderful tea party. Pretty teacups were placed on the table in front of us. A lovely gentleman came to greet us, as we looked at the menu and we ordered some delicious tea.
What I really loved about Fleur de Thé was that you could buy all the chinaware to take home. So they use teacups you can buy which are the same. This made me very excited because as much as I love vintage tearooms, you can't buy these teacups. But here you could. The spoons were my favourite, and I might have to go back and buy some with some birthday money.
We wandered around the town and popped into various cute shops. Vintage, homeware, second hand book shops, and cute coffee/art gallery shops.
I stumbled across a shop called Mini Mi. It is so gorgeous! I'm not a mummy, but I still wanted everything in the store. I purchased a gold make your own banner. Which I have been looking for everywhere. So that was a nice surprise. Plus we made friends with a little pug.
After all that, at the end of the day we wandered around the castle and took photos. It's a glorious place, and with the sun out, it was even more perfect. I took a few snaps with my Instax.
We headed home after a wonderful day. It was the perfect last day of being 27.

Adventure? Sure, let's go!

So the first day of my week off was spent waking up super early, and heading down to the local bootsale. Plus the night before I went out for drinks with new friends, which was ever so lovely. I can't wait to move to the seaside permanently. I love the sea air. I had my new Little Mermaid tote with me.
We wandered around and I found some vintage Trolls, which I was very excited about! I may have nearly jumped up and down. I looked through them, and found 4 that I really wanted. They just need a little clean, and they will be perfect on my shelf with my other little treasures. I picked some other cute bits and pieces up, and then we hoped onto a bus to Whitstable.
We arrived rather early so we went for breakfast at a Peter Cushing restaurant, which used to be a theatre. It's a beautiful building. After breakfast we wandered and visited a craft fair, a few more cute little shops, and purchased cupcakes.
The shops in Whitstable are always so perfect. I could just spend all of my money in them. So many quirky little homeware treasures.
I always love to wander around pretty little towns. Exploring is always an adventure.

Recently reading comicbooks

You can be certain that I am pretty fond of collecting and reading comics. And even more so now with all the great titles that are around. There are so many pretty interesting comics around. However pretty drawings and cute characters always makes me check them out. Also, anything by Boom always gets my thumbs up.
I always found getting into comics really hard, with lots of history and back stories. But now it's so easy as there is loads of new cute comics appearing. With lots of wonderful stories, it's easy to jump on board. Of course my favourite series at the moment is Bee and PuppyCat by Natasha Allegri. I also did start Lumberjanes at the same time. I read them both for quite a while, but I have stuck with B&PC. My new favourite past time is searching for different covers for B&PC, and of course special covers. I always seem them as works of art.
Currently I have also been reading Jem, The unbeatable Squirrel girl, Spider-Gwen and Help Us! Great warrior. I have got a few comics left to start, like Giant Days. Which I am very excited about, as it took a long time to track a copy down.
Nothing beats reading a good comicbook with a cold drink in the sunshine. What comicbooks are you reading?
