kinda awesome day

today has been kinda awesome.
----------
first, a lay-in, which was lovely. listening to stupid birds making crazy nosies, was pretty nice this morning.
----------
so mr postman brought me my new 'oh comely magazine'. i ripped over the envelope and pulled out the magazine, turned to the letter page, and there in the top left hand corner was my letter that i sent in. i sent a letter in a while ago, and they printed it! i eeeked out loud. well to be honest i flicked to the page and had a quick look and thought oh they didn't, then i looked closer and saw that they had. the letter was about me and lina, and how awesome she is.today is a good day.
at the moment i am thinking about whether i should eat these crazy blue chick marshmallows i got in Brighton or keep them...what to do..what to do.

jump up and down...

i enjoyed my fun filled couple of days with my old friends and my city. it was so weird being back in the place where i had lived for 3 years, it felt odd. i had a weird feeling that i didn't like it, and that i didn't belong there anymore. it was wonderful to catch up. i loved it.
back home, back to work. then find out that i need to take a few days as holiday, so yay, i am on holiday!!!

i am currently: enjoying filling in my 'wreck this journal' book that was recommended by my pen pal Jane. its fab, and you have to basically do what the title says.

ps, i just started up twitter, i have no idea what i am doing, but here goes!!---hehe http://twitter.com/helloitsnicola

"An Awful Lot of Running..."

Thank you all for your lovely comments, i am feeling much better now! which is good, i don't like being ill...well i don't think anyone does, silly statement. anyway, its not nice being ill, you feel useless, a tad bored, wishing to go outside and see people, go and do things...well i had to stay at home. it wasn't all bad as a cornflake cake and magazine were given as 'get well soon' gifts. another good thing was that i ordered paper heart on dvd, and it came on Saturday and i finally got to watch it! after all of last year going on and on about wanted my cinema to show it, and then the fact they never did, i now got the chance to actually watch it!----and my, it was amazing. it was odd, beautiful, and sad in places. it was funny because i fell in love. i feel as if i can relate to charlyne yi..because i don't know if i believe in love...its a hard thing to call. its a special gift you really wanna get, but only certain people do. i thought michael cera was rather good in the movie, he seemed so real.i also got AMAZING post!!!!----i got letters and gifts from lina and kait. i love you two so much! i am so happy to have such amazing blog friends! you are fab! i got a rather package from lina, which included lots of rather cool bits and pieces. and from kait i got a cool sketchbook to fill up and a giant 'n'. thank you both again. it means alot. with the rest of my time i have been; watching buffy, writing reply letters, doodling/drawing, drinking far too much tea, filling in my moleskin, thanks to the wonderful amy, i have been introduced to the 'coolest-geekiest band' in the planet! the band is called chameleon circuit----who sing about doctor who. aaaah its genius, its geeky, but not in a typical way. a time lord rock band...i am in heaven. they are my current obsession, and being on repeat..and i ordered their cd..hehe being a geek never felt so good.

ps, if you have some spare time, you should check out my friend mandy's new blog. its rather cool! she is so artistic and beautiful. shimmering vomit of crystals

be the first time

sometimes, i question myself far too much. i know this will sound rather odd, but i have always wished i had grown up in America. i always seem to get obsessed with things from America...i know that's a bit odd. but things like 'hello my name is stickers', milk in cartons, and something that i love so much is the labels on American cd's!--i think they are bloody fab, and such a good idea! (American readers will probably think i am very odd, as this is probably normal for them). oreos are another love for me. somethings at the moment are making me sad, my favourite band in the whole planet is the shins, and i hope that one day i will be able to see them live..things like that makes living in the UK annoying!----plus!----my godparents when you Boston for new year, and asked my parents if i wanted anything from the states..ie, music, and my parents forgot to tell me!---aaah i really need coconut records' 2nd album!! they got me the first one, as they are not on sale in the UK...so that has made me sad. hehe.HOWEVER, i did get a wonderful card in the post today. after a long morning of work, to be greeted by a letter is one of the best things in the world. it was from the beauiful amy from http://mypointeofview.blogspot.com. thank you ever so much amy! it was a lovely suprise!--ooh and thank you for the tea! yum! this is why i love having a blog, you get to meet such amazing people.

"It doesn't often snow at Christmas, The way it's meant to do, But I'll still have a glow at christmas, Because I'll be with you."- the Pet Shop Boys

mad times have been had. its so nice to come home from a long day at work, and just chill out. we have had super amounts of snow recently, which has been rather super!----however getting to work wise, its not been that great!..or falling over on the ice, which i haven't done yet! but now its raining and the snow is being washed away...i really wanted snow on Christmas day. i went to see the pet shop boys with J on Monday night in London--as he had a spare ticket. it was amazing, i have always loved the pet shop boys, and to go see them live was FAB. their show was so visual--cube walls, dancers with cubes for heads, and of course their outfits. it was amazing.apart from that i have been wrapping presents, watching Nick and Norah, taking photos, reading old comics, reading mail from my pen pal Jane, listening to my merry making Xmas cd, going out to dinner with my best friends, going for cups of tea in town, workingworkingworkingworking...in a busy shop at Christmas time, getting my rock paper scissors necklace in the post, and growing my very own Christmas tree.aah also, me and the wonderful lina, have started our very own blog together, its all for fun, a mini project. please check it out!---i hope you enjoy, we have only just started, but hope to get updating as much as we can! here--and--there. peace to you all.

dazed in the grass under the sun

this morning i went to the post office, and sent away my atc's for an exhibition. eek! i cannot wait to see what ones i get back in trade. i also sent pen pal letters.i had a lovely day hanging out with just my mum and dad. its really nice. my mum has the week off, so spending more time with her is really nice.today while in town i got the new dazed and confused magazine as Kristen was on the front. there are such wonderful photos of her inside. i also got some new twilight photo cards! they are pretty cool, and they brought the geek out in me..the shop assistant just looked at me really weird. the following set of photos are dedicated to my friend kay. she knows why! and good luck my dear. i love you!! yay for lots of adventures.i have also been given this AMAZING award from lina. thank you very much! it is simply pretty cool. love you lots lina! In this post, I want to hand out the "Better than ice cream" award to the 3 blogs that for whatever reasons has caught my attention lately. Someone who's blog is inspiring me, someone who has done an exceptional job with their blog or just made me think diffrently about something...
The whole point of the "Better than ice cream" award is for the bloggers who recieve it to then pay it forward to the 3 bloggers who have had that same impact on them. It can even be to the blogger giving it to you, as long as you also give to 2 other bloggers to keep it moving forward!
If you recieve this award more than once, just headline it xthe number of times.
(the purple text is to be included in the blog post when passing this on so it keeps moving).
i want to pass this award on to; the ultra cool- Jesus and his lawyer are coming back..., the beautiful- wonderlander and last but by no means least- from lina...i had to give it back to you! love love these blogs!
