Recent toy purchases

As I write this it is extremely hot. Here I am talking on all my social media platforms about how Autumn/Fall is coming, bye bye summer, and now there is going to be a heatwave. Not really sure how I feel about this news. Ah screw it, I don't want the warm weather! As much as I love the warm summer evenings, I am defiantly an Autumn kinda gal. When the weather starts to get a little bit colder, fun drinks start appearing in our favourite coffee shops, its time to get out one of my many scarves, I can start buying Halloween goodies, walking by the seaside seems more fun during the colder months, and then of course you know that Christmas is on its way.

Recently I have gotten back into buying blind boxes. It's a very dangerous thing to start collecting again, but at the moment its for fun! Plus it's just a box here and there. When I was in Game on Monday I picked up a couple more. Now I have a few of the Harry Potter ones, which are all super cute! There was only one box left in the store, so I took the risk! I also picked up a Suicide Squad box. I wasn't really sure about getting one of these since I only really wanted Harley or maybe even Enchantress. However when I looked at the box it actually said these ones were from Game Stop in America. They had three exclusives that could, maybe, hopefully be in the box. I walked straight out the door and started ripping the box open. To my surprise, and I was really surprised, I find the exclusive Game Stop Harley Quinn looking back at me! Plus moments before that David had opened his box (he got one also) and he had an exclusive Joker! 

We both couldn't believe our luck! Blind boxes are always a risk. Blind bags give you a little bit more of an idea and you can feel the packet. With the boxes you are just guessing with the weight of them, and even then you don't really have a clue. One of the downsides is that they are quite a lot of money. I know they are Funko and they are very good quality, its just for a few pounds more you could buy a pop. I will do another post on the Harry Potter mini's because I have quite a few now! Other recently toy purchases have been some new pops for the collection including my main man, old-man-beardy-Luke and Captain Marvel. But who am I kidding, I have brought quite a lot recently.

Everyday I seem to go online and see more toy exclusives that my American friends seem to be finding. Honestly collecting toys in the UK really does suck. I have seen the Barnes and Noble Harry potter 3 pack creatures set on various websites in the UK, and the prices are stupid. But then again, its like anything! My friend Dillon sent me the new Ghostbusters figures from the US, and while I was at a con I saw them for a stupid amount when they clearly should not be so expensive. This will not put me off collecting toys though! My collection is still going strong. I have added a few more pops to the collection recently and can't wait for a new toy store to open in my town very soon! Now I shall go back to scrolling through the internet to all the exclusive toys I can't get in the UK at the moment. I just can't stay away, everything is just too pretty *heart eyes emoji*.

today was a normal day really...got up, went to work, then came home. but i did have a really nice chilled out evening with my parents. we ended up watching harry potter (the 5th movie). i really do like that one...it always makes me laugh, and makes me sad. harry potter movies are the best, hands down!

i am looking forward to fun filled adventures with my friends, meeting up with friends who have been away for quite some time, going on nerdy days out, going on birthday trips to visit a special birthday girl, and just general going out for drinks with normal guy friends. its just the waiting that annoys me. as i am in need of some creative ideas, hopefully will be going to visit lots of galleries on monday---i need to see some art!

rain rain, go away..come back another day

ah its horrible outside..all rain..and more rain. for the last couple of days i have not done much reading..and must get to it straight away. i have been really rubbish.

James Bond was good. lots of action, all in all a very good film. i am much in love with the "bad guy" Dominic Greene - Mathieu Amalric...hes really cool in a really odd way. my friend just laughed at me. i knew i had seen him in a movie recently, he was in the Diving Bell and the Butterfly. i really wanted to see this movie..but my rubbish cinema did not show it. for anyone who has not heard of it, its the true story of Elle editor Jean-Dominique Bauby who suffers a stroke and has to live with an almost totally paralyzed body however only his left eye isn't paralyzed. i really want to watch this movie...hmmm..maybe i will go on a hunt for it tomorrow.today i didn't really do much, but i went round the shops looking for presents for people. and found some really nice things. today has been one of those really lazy days where you don't really do much...oh well! it has been nice. i have still got loads and loads of pick n mix sweets left over from the cinema. they are kinda making me feel a little sick at the moment...i think i have eaten too many.

today was a weird day. went to work in the afternoon. after work i went and got some extra bits and pieces for my sister's birthday present. i love other people's birthdays because i always feel that you can have fun on theirs, and never really on your own birthday. i have never really liked my own birthdays...i hated them. i love making a fuss of other people on their special day. i know its odd...that's always how i have felt.oh yeah, at work a few of us were talking about telly shows we love to watch, and one of my friends said about the mighty boosh...and i thought to myself...wow, i have not watched that in such a long time!! i mean, its one of my favourite shows. i am sure everyone knows about the show. its a british comedy show. Vince Noir, king of the mods and Howard Moon, an intellectually vain genius/novelist/poet/wrestler/boxer/jazz musician work in the dysfunctional Zooniverse under the slightly crazed Bob Fossil. i am in love with Vince Noir aka Noel Fielding and Howard Moon aka Julian Barratt. i have always had the little deal with my amazing odd, big haired friend that i would be happy with Julian, and she could have noel. :) i am sorry but Julian looks fab in the picture below...haha my friend so doesn't think so. well i will agree with my friend that noel looks very good in the bottom pic, he always know just what to wear. don't you hate it when you know your shoes are so old and wore out that you will have to throw them out..i hate it. and its worst when you love them. i love my comic book converse shoes....oh its a sad day. hopefully i can find a really nice pair to take their place.i am thinking that these little guys might be my next vinyl toy spend. they are very cute, and can be found at the Kidrobot website...oh i really want that bag in the last post. oh its not fair!!! :(

today i had a day off, and it was great. i have been watching the Olympics all day today, and even the highlights!! i am in love! its so much fun watching. great Britain have 7 medals at the moment, so that's really good...for us anyway!! and we are 9th overall. i got myself some hooks the other day so i could hang my jewellery up, because i am fed up of having it in a box. at least now i can just reach for what i want to wear. i have so much...i need to stop buying...but i just can't!! :Di might watch a movie tonight with my sister, not sure what yet...however we might end up watching the Olympics!! we can press red on our telly and watch highlights of all the games, so we don't miss a thing!! its kinda geeky but i am really getting in to it now!!oh my god, my sisters presents i ordered cam in the post today...which i must get around to wrapping soon, i need to go out and buy some really cool ribbon and a beautiful bow. but also today my heroes hoodie came in the post!! wahoo, i have been wearing it all day, its so cold at the moment!! so it came just at the right moment!!!

at the moment i am really into vinyl toys, i have sooo many, i can't count them. most of them have some from blind boxes, where you don't know what one you are going to get. they are really bits of art in their own right. i really feel like a kid again when i get a box, and you get so excited because you have no idea which one you are going to get from the pictures on the front.i am in love with these amazing bags from Kidrobot; kidrobot which you can find from that link. they even have special toys added on the bag, some of which you can only get with these bags. i would love to have one of these bags on my back, or shoulder......however not sure i will be able to get one, as they are from the states. but how fab are they?!?!?! :D

i spy with my little eye...

yesterday i went looking for bits and pieces that i could use in my work. for the start of this project i am just going to go out and collect stuff that i like, and then work form that. last time i did not have enough bit and pieces. i found some wonderful beautiful and horrible bits that caught my eye.

i also got a small table, which was really cute and old. and an old suitcase/box.

today after work i decided to buy myself 'clean 'n go m-o' figure from the new movie Wall.E, he is so cute. i then find out from my friend that its one of the rarer ones...now i am not sure to open it or not...i was gonna open it...hmmmm.
