Hello new friends

So there is nothing better than beautifully illustrated crockery, and Joules do such perfect pieces.
These wonderfully designed plates bring a smile to everyone's faces. These cheeky little characters bring any table alive.
Of course the fox is my absolute favourite. The bright orange of the fox, with the pale turquoise works brilliantly together. I adore foxes at the moment. My other favourite would be the Pheasnt. His cute face looking at you from a dark navy background.
These plates are perfect for a sandwich and nibbles, all washed down with a lovely cup of hot tea on a winters afternoon. I can't wait to start using them. Meals are going to be lots of fun from now on.

So 2013, what a year.

After the awesomeness of 2012, I really didn't have much hope for 2013. It would never be as good as 2012. How wrong I was.
Start of the year saw me meet my first instagrammer, Tom, or better known as foxesandcats. The internet is a wonderful place, (we all know this), and I am so glad to call this bonkers guy one of my best friends.
Being in the same room as Joss Whedon. After queuing outside the apple store in London for 12hours, being in the front row listening to him speak....words cannot describe the feeling.
Austin. How can I even begin to sum up that?! It was perfect, I felt at home, so many adventures, good food, perfect company, too many laughs, late nights, deep meaningful chats with Maggie, getting into fights over a picnic table, Shelby giving a waiter my phone number.....or I guess I could just say 'USA, USA!!' -stupid large family in rubber rings.
Meeting David. I will always be thankful for my friend Claire making me do something stupid and not me. He is perfect. I know that's easy to say, but he is. He's beardy, cute, knows crazy amounts about comicbooks, is so talented and artistic. He hasn't really watched much Doctor Who, but it's ok, I still love him.
Being back at Glastonbury. That field. That place, the music, the energy. It's just breathtaking.
The conventions I have been to this year, were perfect. Meeting Paul McGann- he gives the best kisses and hugs. Meeting Jenna Coleman, and seeing Billie Piper again. And of course Hallowhedon 5. Best con of the whole year. All my con friends in one place. Plus highlight was getting Brad Bell back to Joey's hotel room and all playing pop up pirate.
2013 was super, let's see what 2014 has in store!

Sometimes you just need to make a list

So lots of random adventures have been happening.
-Plus getting texts from Shelby telling me about this crazy "American food" package I will be getting. I am far too excited for that. Too excited indeed.
-We have to wear Xmas jumpers to work each weekend in December. So my new gingerbread jumper made an appearance this weekend. It's too cute.
-Having a mini chocolate for breakfast each morning is one of the best things about December. Although today the chocolate snowman had a very rude nose today. Very rude indeed.
-I have so many cards/presents/gifts to buy and post, and I haven't had any time. I am rubbish.
-I watched 30mins of Jingle all the Way tonight. And them felt bad, so I stopped. Need to watch it with David.
-I have been listening to Christmas songs all afternoon.
-Making Christmas gift lists in my head while at work.
-Making friends with people on trains.
-Thinking about seeing Tom Hiddleston's play next Friday, and trying not to scream everytime I do.
-I need to take a trip to Paperchase. I need to buy a stack load of cards/postcards/stamps.
-Playing on an N64, and finally getting to play Pokemon Snap after years and years and years of waiting. It was really worth the wait.
-Getting cute cards from friends and special people.
-Watched the Doctor Who 50th special. I really liked it. Made me smile, although really thought I was gonna see the 9th Doctor. Ah well. Dad hated it. And I didn't hear the end of it.
-Seeing a Bill Murray 'Murray Christmas' t-shirt online, and nearly fainting. America you rule, and have the best stuff...apart from your tea.
-Getting new gloves.
-And realising this list was far too long.

Coffee?

So I am far too excited for Christmas this year. I convinced David to watch elf one evening, and then we went Christmas crazy.
David made some mulled cider, which was simply delicious. This made me feel so Christmassy. The smell was wonderful.

I also caved and brought the eggnog, and we had homemade Starbucks style eggnog coffees. So good. So many treats.
It's been so cold recently. I really do need a super cute pair of gloves. My hands are always cold. Also I really need to start my Christmas shopping. I mean, I have started, but I need to get going! It's going to be so stressful nearer the time.
All I can think about at the moment is the fact we got tickets to see Katy Perry, looking forward to see The secret life of Walter Mitty, snuggles, redcups, my new gingerbread man jumper, and that Doctor Who is 50th today! Didn't get tickets to go see it in the cinema, mostly because Dad went on and on about how 50 years ago today he watched it behind the sofa, and 50 years later he would be watching it on the sofa. Oh Dad, haha. Very excited to be watching that tonight, just wish and hope Moffat will surprise us with more Doctors. I can hope.

Will you

Having time to stop and think sometimes can be a good thing. It also can be a bad thing.
have been listening to Lana Del Ray on repeat for the last couple of days, I haven't seen Friday's episode of shield, I need a good cup of tea, I need to write letters, I had to eat roast dinner yesterday, and Charlie didn't rejoin with Busted. But that's life. Sometimes it's tricky, but you carry on. These tiny little things don't change me, they just effect me. I take it in, and move on.
Seeing friends this week has been perfect. So many catch ups with dear friends. Laughs and mulled cider out of the biggest pint glass I have ever seen. Starbucks red cups with laughs and serious talks. It's getting colder, and I really need a good pair of gloves.
