When your heart skips a beat

Love is a powerful emotion. It can cloud your mind and heart and just take over. It can change you for good and bad. Love changes everything.

When you end up falling in love, it's one of those moments that you will remember for the rest of your life. You will not forget having those feelings, at that point in time. It's that feeling of all the butterflies you get on the way to see them. When you catch them smiling at you, or when you look over to them and your heart skips a beat when you lock eyes. That hello and that kiss, which seems like forever. To be in love is like being home. Finding that person that makes you feel like you are home, and everything is right with the world.

I always believed in love, of course I did. After all, I watched all the movies and tv shows telling me love was real. I mean Rachel got off the plane. I have always loved. I loved my family, my friends, and I was fine with that. I didn't need anything or anyone else. The people that did have someone else were lucky. I never hated people for having that. It always filled me with joy for them, and imagining how it must feel to truly be in love.
It's the over coming sense of joy and also knowing this all feels right. Like the puzzle pieces all fitting together, rather than being forced into place.

To feel that is beautiful. I feel that everyday now.

STOP. THIS IS TOO GOOD.

I feel the same way, feeling happy for people in love. Those that are clearly in love at least…I worry about the people who trap themselves in relationships where I'm not sure either cares for the other. Not in a genuine way at least.

I also just want to say that I think my heart skips a beat with platonic love too. There are some people for whom I would do anything, you know?
And if that's not love…well, what is?

I'm so glad that we are finally on the same continent. I am hoping to take the train down to London tentatively the last weekend of November. Would you be around? :)
