A sunny day in Herne Bay

I spent yesterday by the seaside with my special person. We started the day with a much deserved sleep in. A few cups of tea, and the we headed out into the boiling hot sun. The wonderful sea air and the warm sun was a perfect pair. It's so nice for it to be sunny enough to wear my sunglasses and my pretty bird print dress.

The sky was a gorgeous blue, with hardly any clouds. We wandered around the front and I stared longingly at the beach huts, and hopefully one day I will own one.

We went for a spot of lunch at the Green Door Deli. It's such a cute place to stop for coffee, or wonderful food and fruit juices. I had a light lunch of a yummy croissant with local ham and cheese.

I did a little shopping also. Picked up some books from a few charity shops. And also found some more sheet music for current artwork.

We wandered on the pier, had ice cream, listened to the sea and held hands. Such a simply perfect day.

Instagram magic

Instagram is a beautiful thing. I love logging on and seeing these beautiful photos appear in front of my eyes. There are many reason why I love it so much. It helped me start selling my work. It gave me the confidence. By using Instagram to post snippets of my work, people could see it and ask if they could buy it. Which in the end gave me the push I needed to create and sell work.

The amazing people I have met though Instagram is another giant plus. The internet can be a wonderful way of meeting people. Also Instagram has helped me take better photos. Really studying the light, shadow and layout of a photo. It's all trial and error until you find your style, and how you want to use Instagram. It really helps you edit photos and how your see the world. I mean that can be a good and bad thing. You might look at things differently when you take photos, for example; will they fit? How will the photos look on my feed?

But in the end you just need to go for it. Have fun, enjoy Instagram! Meet new people! Share your interests with others! And of course love taking your photos! Because even though you post for others to see, in the end it's for you.

It's ok

Being happy is a really important thing. It's one of those things we just think happens. Well it doesn't, sometimes you have to work at it. Life can get you down, and feeling happy just doesn't work. It can be as silly as a bad day at work, to feeling stuck in everyday life.

I know I am a happy person. That's what people tell me. 'Everything is awesome'---that's what people would say would be my words. But recently I have noticed myself getting annoyed at myself for not feeling happy all the time. However I have just decided that it's ok not to be happy all the time. It's ok to be sad. It's normal. People don't wander around all day long with giant smiles on the face every single moment of every single day. Things trip us up. Things stop that smile. But it's the wonderful things that bring us back, that pick us up, that keep us going. It makes being sad ok. Because you know it's gonna get better. It always does, and that's what makes living worth all of it.

Easter Crafternoon

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to my friend's Easter Crafternoon. I was very excited about this one.

Lots of pastel colours greeted me as I walked through the door. The table was gorgeous. The decorations always work really well with the themes. We enjoyed finger sandwiches and lots of sweet treats while catching up.

This month was were dying wool with KoolAid. The room ended up smelling amazing. Lots of fruity flavours filled the room. We are going to use the pretty coloured wool to make pom-poms next month.

We had to make Easter baskets for our secret present exchange. I had so much fun collecting little gifts and Easter themed treats. It was a perfect afternoon to make me excited for Easter.

Disney Tsum Tsum's

So one day I was walking into town and I stopped these tiny little Disney toys in a window. These little toys were Disney Tsum Tsum's. I thought they were ever so cute. When I went inside I remembered that I had some of them on Instagram a few months ago. I got sucked in and had to buy a couple. They are just so tiny and sweet. The problem is, they are just so addictive. Also everyone seems to be obsessed with them also! As it's really difficult to find them now. Every time I walk through the doors of Clinton's I hold my breath and hope they have some. However, it's part of the fun. Trying to hunt them down. I'm really hoping lots of new ones come out soon, like in the Disney theme parks. I am currently being entertained by the app game on my phone. It's so cute...and I must go and play it now.
