Fleur de Thé date

While I love a good cup of coffee, and I am still very much in love with a great cup of English tea. The best tearoom in Rochester has to be Fleur de ThéI remember finding this cute place last year the days before my birthday. It is simply too perfect. It's a tearoom but its also a gorgeous shop. Lots of amazing pieces to buy, and treats to eat while in there!

Myself and David popped in, grabbed a seat by the window and ordered two cream teas. I love the mix and match tea cups, plates, and beautiful teapot. We drank our tea in peace and chatted about our day. Drinking tea is always so relaxing, and really is good for the soul.

This tearoom really is such a lovely place to visit. We sat and talked about adventures ahead. It's a great place to relax and watch the world go by. I'm still swooning over the gorgeous teaspoons, which I hope to go back and purchase one day. Plus maybe some teacups, oh and a teapot, actually who am I kidding I want everything they have for sale. They even had pastel painted mason jars for vases which I think will be going on my next craft list! They really did look perfect. I really can't wait for my next visit.

Day trip to Rochester

On Monday I took a trip to Rochester. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shinning, and I just felt so positive. We wandered in and out of a few shops, but then I spotted an amazing tearoom. This tearoom was called Fleur de Thé.
I could see such gorgeous coloured teacups and teapots from the window. When I walked in I felt like I had fallen through the rabbit hole to a wonderful tea party. Pretty teacups were placed on the table in front of us. A lovely gentleman came to greet us, as we looked at the menu and we ordered some delicious tea.
What I really loved about Fleur de Thé was that you could buy all the chinaware to take home. So they use teacups you can buy which are the same. This made me very excited because as much as I love vintage tearooms, you can't buy these teacups. But here you could. The spoons were my favourite, and I might have to go back and buy some with some birthday money.
We wandered around the town and popped into various cute shops. Vintage, homeware, second hand book shops, and cute coffee/art gallery shops.
I stumbled across a shop called Mini Mi. It is so gorgeous! I'm not a mummy, but I still wanted everything in the store. I purchased a gold make your own banner. Which I have been looking for everywhere. So that was a nice surprise. Plus we made friends with a little pug.
After all that, at the end of the day we wandered around the castle and took photos. It's a glorious place, and with the sun out, it was even more perfect. I took a few snaps with my Instax.
We headed home after a wonderful day. It was the perfect last day of being 27.

"Dammit, he put my stapler in jello again!"

i stepped out of the door today and was greeted by the rain, dark clouds, wind, beautiful coloured orange leaves, and an amazing spider web covered in droplets of rain. went to do the weekly food shop with my dad which was a laugh, other highlights include getting a pint of milk with a hole in the bottle...fun times. for lunch, as it was rather cold outside i had hot soup with the most wonderful bread.so i am sitting at home, now waiting for my sister to get in from her trip to Barcelona. i have missed her alot, and its only been a few days. i miss going on adventures, and hanging out with new people. hopefully something will come up soon. the nights are drawing in, and its getting colder. i do like Autumn/Winter time. i always love sitting on the sofa with hot tea, watching old movies or TV programmes. i have to admit i did not watch true blood when it first came out, the first series is being aired over here at the moment, and i watched the first episode the other day, and really liked it. its rather odd, but i am still getting used to it. i really like Anna Paquin, i think she is amazing. i am also still completely in love with the office; an American workplace. ah i think its fab. i am in love with Jim and Pam. i love John Krasinski so much, and it breaks my heart i couldn't see Away we go at my cinema as they have stopped showing it...ah how i hate waiting for DVDs to come out. ah and also in the Autumn/Winter its time to wrap up and keep warm. i am truly in love with the gap ad with john in.

looking through boxes and boxes

lots and lots of cups of tea. tea in very old random cups. odd plates, and pretty patterns. i have always wanted to live back in the 60's and as soon as i walked through the tea room, i felt it.
also i went to the cattle market and found some wonderful items! the thing is with the cattle market, you kinda just have to look through lots and lots of random boxes full of different things, its all about the rummaging!!! :D i wanted to look for different objects to help me with my work, and i found some crackers. i found a small folder of a few birth certificates, and a couple of really old photos. i found an amazing telephone, which DOES WORK. i love it so much, and want it in my house forever! :) and other really odd bits and pieces.
as well as going to the cattle market. i went to an old bookshop that i had visited a couple of years ago. the smell is amazing. there is nothing better than the smell of piles and piles of old books. the books are stacked wall to wall, book to book. i found a few books about birds and other animals to help me with my uni work. i look forward to reading them!

you gotta hear this one song

went to work in the afternoon today. it was really wet and cold at work. people kept coming in and saying its too hot in this store..while we were all freezing!! :D
last night i watched once. it has been a few weeks since i said that i was going to watch it, and i finally got round to it. it was wonderful, an amazing film. the music and the actors are lovely. the "guy" and "girl" as they are called, fit together in a odd way, two souls looking for happiness. the ending was not as i thought would happen, however it was good. well worth a watch if you have not already seen it.i was planning to go out tonight with friends, but the weather was not very nice so i changed my mind. all you want to do on a cold rainy night is curl up on the sofa and have a nice cup of tea and watch a couple of movies...hmm i think tonight i will watch my all time favourite movie in the whole world Garden State. i am sure you all know the story of the film; A quietly troubled young man returns home for his mother's funeral after being estranged from his family for a decade, and the old friends he meets and the new ones he makes. i love Natalie Portman so much, she always makes me smile in this movie, her oddness and her weird little ways make her so beautiful. Zach Braff is wonderful as well. plus the soundtrack to the film is amazing, the shins are my favourite band, and it is so true what Natalie Portman says in the movie; "..you gotta hear this one song, it will change your life" It doesn't get any better than that :D
